This team is tasked with facilitating continuous improvements across the business, utilizing all the tools in the toolbox, but with a very clear goal – improve Aker BioMarine’s employees’ ability to effectively do their job.

Rolf Thu heads the Smart Factory initiative at Aarbakke, one of the world’s leading machining companies serving the oil and gas industry. An IT geek that for the majority of his life has contributed to the rapid evolution of his workplace, Thu uses his passion for technology and automation to manage the transition into a data-driven manufacturing facility. Thu has degrees in religion, history, and psychology from the Universities of Bergen and Stavanger.
