Off to an Early Lead: How NCS Operators Are Embracing Technology and Digital Transformation

As Europe prepares for a climate-neutral future, operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf explain how they are committed to be part of the solution

Europe is leading the way in the global energy transition. Come 2050, power generation in a climate-neutral Europe should be fully decarbonized.

In the next three decades, operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) have some important questions to ask themselves. Should they invest in renewables to survive? How best can they harness their own domain knowledge and technology know-how to smooth the transition?

In this session, we’ll sit down with Aker BP, Equinor, and Lundin Energy Norway, three leading operators on the NCS. They will share their thoughts on the rapidly changing landscape in the North Sea and explain how they are embracing technology and digital transformation to prepare for a radically different second half of the century.
